More shiny Pokemon are coming to Pokemon GO with Castform being the Pokemon getting a new shiny form. What makes this so special, however, is that Castform already had a shiny form available in-game.

In the majority of Pokemon games up until Pokemon HOME, Castform's shiny form did not affect its alternate forms for the different weather conditions. Pokemon GO, however, is finally letting players catch Castform with special shiny palettes for these alternate forms.

The form of Castform getting a shiny version will be Rainy Castform. This Pokemon is a pure Water-type that can be found in rainy weather only. Its shiny form gives Rainy Castform more of a green appearance inside the raindrop on its head.

Shiny Rainy Castform will become available to Pokemon GO players starting on Wednesday, March 24th, at 10:00 AM in players' local times. This is to coincide with the upcoming Weather Week event which will begin on the same date and time. The new Castform shiny form will remain available for players to encounter during and after this event.

Those who want to hunt for a shiny Rainy Castform won't need to travel through torrents of bad weather in order to find one. During the Weather Week event, Rainy Castform will be among the increased normal spawns alongside Wingull and Ducklett. This will increase the odds of players finding this new shiny form without needing to rely on real-world weather conditions and all of the hazards that come with them. It, however, is not a guaranteed find, so players will need to work toward this capture.

After the Weather Week event, players are likely to see the shiny forms of Sunny and Snowy Castform at some point in the future. This may be for another Weather Week event or for another event entirely. These forms are in the games' data with shiny Sunny Castform having a much redder head than the normal Sunny Castform. Shiny Snowy Castform. meanwhile, is bluer than the normal Snowy Castform's purple.

There are plenty more shiny Pokemon that Pokemon GO players have to look forward to in the future. With more Pokemon that originated from the Kalos region likely coming to Pokemon GO pretty soon, there are also plenty of regions that still don't have the majority of their shiny Pokemon implemented. Shiny hunters are recommended to keep their eyes open toward upcoming events to see if more of their favorite shiny Pokemon will be able to join their collections soon.
