Pokemon GO's third community day is just around the corner and, although it's not quite as exciting as the Dratini event, players are still looking forward to a few hours of hunting down Bulbasaur. The incentive to get shinys, special moves, and other bonuses is enough to get players out and about, even though Bulbasaur candy hasn't been in short supply since the game's launch thanks to starter events and Battle Raids.

For players who already have a lot of the gen-1 starter pokemon and its evolutions, a bigger motivation to participate may be to hunt down a perfect version of the creature (in addition to the special move). 100% IV pokemon are pretty rare, but this kind of event is the perfect opportunity to catch like crazy and hope to find one.

For players who want to use the day to track down a perfect Bulbasaur to add to their collection, here's a guide to which CP at each level corresponds to a perfect catch...

Obviously players can also use some unofficial third-party IV calculators to get the stats, but knowing whether or not a pokemon is 100% during the catch phase is very helpful. This allows players to decide if they want to use special Berrys or Ultraballs when making the catch. Quickly identifying a 100% pokemon helps to ensure players don't waste their valuable items on the wrong monsters.

Pokemon GO's Bulbasaur-themed March Community Day will take place on March 25. Start preparing now!

Pokemon GO is available now in select regions on Android and iOS devices.
