As part of the original 151 Pokemon roster, Dratini was first introduced in Pokemon Red and Blue. As one of the original Dragon-type Pokemon, players had two ways to capture one in the original Pokemon games. They could either fish in the Safari Zone and hope for one to bite or buy it with coins they won in the Celadon City casino. At level 30, it would evolve into Dragonair before becoming Dragonite at level 50, with these evolve formed used by Elite Four leader Lance.

Dratini and its evolved forms are by no means the most popular of the original 151 Pokemon, but they have a dedicated fan base due to their cute designs. Earlier this year, for example, a fan created a cool bit of Pokemon animation featuring Dratini and Dragonair in a fountain. Now an additional fan has thrown their hat into the Dratini animation pool.

In a recent post, Reddit user RandompoofXx shared an animation they did with Dratini. Specifically, it shows the adorable Pokemon wiggling from left to right while looking at the camera. It is their second piece of animation, with their first involving a sleeping Rowlet, and is part of a larger library of fan art they post to the Pokemon page.

Animations like this can be found throughout the fandom and are as diverse in their presentation as the Pokemon themselves. In one instance, a fan created a Pokemon CGI animation that showed how they felt a Magnemite would evolve into a Magneton. This, however, is just the tip of the iceberg that is Pokemon fan animation.

In one instance, a Pokemon fan put together a bit of animation of the Pokemon Gold and Silver player character using only LEGO bricks. In other instances, fans have made stop-motion videos featuring their favorite Pokemon. Others take a more traditional route with their animation with the aesthetics of their art attempting to emulate the look of the animated series.

Animations like this are always heartwarming to see. At this point, there are 905 Pokemon in the franchise's universe. This however does not include the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starters and the number will likely be much higher before the end of the year. Because of this vast number, it's easy to see how some Pokemon can get lost in the mix. But as long as fans keep the memory of Pokemon like Dratini alive with animations like this, it ensures that some of them will never be forgotten.
