In its over quarter-century of existence, Pokemon has evolved into a cultural juggernaut, spawning a sprawling franchise of cards, video games, TV shows, films and more. Pokemon has also amassed one of the most artistically talented fandoms in all pop culture, as proven by one fan who crocheted some adorable Heracross dolls.

A dual Bug/Fighting-type, Heracross was first introduced in the second generation of Pokemon. Featured in the long-running anime series, Heracross is also one of the Pokemon featured in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which recently received a new update to fix the ongoing Shiny Charm issue.

Posted onto r/pokemon, a user by the aptly-named handle of u/sheacrochet is going viral for their adorable crocheted version of a pair of Heracrosses. The woven work is an adorable and accurate depiction of the Bug/Fighting-type, incorporating the signature yellow eyes, exoskeleton segmentation, and white claws. All of the appendages appear proportional and accurately-shaped, no small feat for an insect Pokemon. The artist's creation depicts both the regular blue and shiny pink version of a female Heracross, as denoted by its horn shape, propped up against a neutral wall to make the colors pop.

The crocheted creations are clearly a hit with Pokemon fans, garnering well over 10,000 likes at the time of writing. Within the post's comments, the creator reveals they crafted the Heracross pair in a sitting position as an emulation of their most recent appearance in Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The crocheted Heracross are the latest in a growing trend of Pokemon fans crafting their favorites, including one fan who made crochet dolls of all three Kanto region starters Squirtle, Bulbasaur, and Charmander.

Although crocheting seems to be a trending medium within the Pokemon fandom, it's far from the only one. In addition to the litany of crocheted Pokemon, one fan has been getting plenty of attention for their incredible clay art of Quaxly. For those unaware, Quaxly is one of the recently revealed starters for the upcoming mainline game entry Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The modeling clay creation expertly depicts the duck-like Pokemon, featuring smooth curves and features along with being color-accurate. Whether it be clay, string, or any other medium, it's certainly easy to see that Pokemon fans particularly excel at making art.

The crocheted Heracross pair is certainly adorable, and is sure to amass even more likes in the coming days. While creating not one, but two crochet dolls is impressive, one dedicated fan is crocheting every single Pokemon on the roster. Gotta crochet 'em all!
