One fan of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet has made a fitting fan comic that involves the game's new rival Nemona, combining her with the popular anime property Dragon Ball Z. Of the three rivals that are introduced in the latest game, it seems that Nemona is quickly becoming a beloved character. This is evident with Nemona's breakout popularity on Twitter, with many making memes and fan art involving her. One particular meme that has caught on with a lot of fans is her similarities with Son Goku of the hit anime property Dragon Ball. Many of these comparisons between the two stem from Goku's personality and fight-happy nature being in line with Nemona's own character. In the game, she is typically eager to challenge the player with a Pokemon battle, especially during the late game. This resulted in several crossovers that have seen the two characters interacting or Nemona wearing his gi while replicating iconic moments. This set of fan comics shows iconic moments from the anime being recreated with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet characters instead, with Nemona fittingly taking place of Goku.RELATED: Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Players Are Frustrated With ShiniesThis set of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet comics was created by Snoozincopter on Twitter, and these have gotten quite a bit of positive reception. The first image recreates the cover of the 150th chapter of the Dragon Ball Z manga, with a staredown between Nemona and Mewtwo in place of Goku and Frieza. The following three pages however recreate the death of Krillin, with a Quaquaval instead, where Mewtwo causes it to explode. This triggers the anger of Nemona, and she then transforms into a Super Saiyan. This fan comic recreates every single panel faithfully, down to the posing and dialogue.

The second set of comics however recreates other iconic moments from Dragon Ball Z, such as Goku's sacrifice during the Cell Saga, or Goku's ascension to Super Saiyan 3, which all have been replaced with the characters from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. For example, the player character is Son Gohan, while the rest of the Z-fighters are comprised of the various gym leaders and Pokemon from the game. For the villains, Cell is funnily represented by a Voltorb, a Pokemon typically prone to self-destructing, while Majin Buu is represented by a Makuhita.

These comics were all praised for the impressive amount of detailing that went into recreating these iconic moments from the manga, especially down to mimicking Akira Toriyama's art style and character designs. With the similarities between Goku and Nemona cemented in the fanbase, there's bound to be more crossover comics and art like this to be made.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are available now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
