A Redditor going by the name fluid__mimikyu came up with designs for Pokemon's Charmander evolutionary line if they were the Fairy-type. All three Pokemon have gone from their traditional red colorings to various blues and pinks.

Fairy Charizard

All three Pokemon in fluid__mimikyu's reimagining of the Charmander line have a floral pattern on their bellies, which gets bigger and more intricate as the evolutionary line is climbed. Rather than having a flame at the tip of their tails, all three Pokemon now hold crystals, with Charizard's tail being fully encapsulated by crystals. Instead of dragon wings, Charizard now has pinkish butterfly wings with blue veins running through them.

The new typings that fluid__mimikyu gave the Charmander line are receiving a lot of love. Many are praising the looks of the Pokemon, especially the crystals at the end of their tails. The images have gamers trying to think of new names for the three Pokemon, along with a secondary typing to go with their Fairy-type. The images that fluid__mimikyu came up with also started a debate on what types new Pokemon starters can be instead of the usual Fire-, Water-, and Grass-types. The Charmander line as Fairy-types shows what can be possible in the realm of the games coming up and give ideas on what GameFreak can implement in the future.

The Charmander line isn't the only type reimagining that has been seen lately. A user going by the name of mutant_jay imagined what the Pokemon Goodra would look like as a Fire/Dragon-type. The Pokemon's coloring has changed from purple, pink and green to red, yellow, and orange. What was originally slime coming off of Goodra looks like lava in mutant_jay's drawing, fitting in with the designs of other Fire-type Pokemon such as Magmar and Magcargo. According to mutant_jay, this version of Goodra would have an increase in its speed stat, though it was not mentioned which other stat changes would be made. Both the altered Goodra, Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard all look good, and would fit in nicely as regional variants for future Pokemon titles.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will release for Nintendo Switch in 2022.
