Pokemon fans like to create art of the various pocket monsters that they love. Gamers have been making pieces to celebrate the creatures that have captured their hearts, producing a number of different types of works for all to enjoy. Pokemon is a huge inspiration for fan art, with a number of pocket monsters standing out as muses.

One of those Pokemon is Lugia. The Psychic/Flying-Type was introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver and featured in the anime. Lugia was also one of the stars of the second movie in the series, Pokemon the Movie 2000. Now one fan has created a unique piece of artwork centering on Lugia and cards from the Pokemon TCG.

A Redditor known as mr-pennyroyal posted an image of a picture featuring Lugia that they made out of Pokemon cards. The outline of the pocket monster was made out of Dark-Type cards, while all the white parts were composed of Colorless cards. The accents of the creature, such as its stomach and the blue spikes that come off of its eyes, were made up of Water-Type cards. According to mr-pennyroyal, it took them about an hour to make the piece. They also stated that more art made of Pokemon cards can be found on their profile page, which include Pikachu, Mewtwo, and Zapdos.

The artwork that mr-pennyroyal made has garnered a few fans. Many have called the piece impressive, while one commenter stated that they would have never thought of doing something like it. One user thought that the cards had been cut up and said that they almost had a mini heart attack, to which mr-pennyroyal replied that they would never do that. Another artist said that they make art similar to this but with Energy Cards from the Pokemon TCG, and mentioned that they didn't think of using Colorless cards in order to create white space in the piece. The Lugia art is amazing and is an interesting way of capturing the Pokemon.

Mr-pennyroyal is just one artist creating pieces based on Lugia. A Redditor named lolCure posted an image of a rug that they made of the Pokemon. The work features the pocket monster's head, its beak, and the spikes that surround its eyes. The rug also has a miniaturized wing coming off the back of the creature's head. The rug is incredibly cute and is perfect for anyone who is a fan of the legendary Pokemon.
