Recently there have been a few things happen in the Pokemon community that cause fan speculation, and one of them is very large and can be found in London. One fan spotted a huge bus painted in the red and white colors of a Poke Ball, the iconic method of catching Pokemon. It's even emblazoned with the Pokemon logo to boot.

Right now, Pokemon fans are getting consistent new content for Pokemon GO players, and the Crown Tundra DLC is coming soon for those who own Pokemon Sword and Shield. With all this new content, the 20+ year-old-franchise is able to continue being new and fresh and bring in new audiences as well as maintain much of its old ones due to nostalgia and innovation. Part of the reason Nintendo is able to do that is because of brand marketing and partnerships, and it seems that now it's employing iconic British double-decker buses to help it with that.

Reddit user Thohack took the time to post a picture of the bus from behind a few days ago, claiming that they found it in London during the morning. When one zooms into the back of the image one can see the name of the Galar region, which is featured in Pokemon Sword and Shield and draws inspiration from the United Kingdom, including London itself.

The picture drew a lot of entertaining comments to the Reddit thread, including a string of jokes about the nonexistent Sinnoh remake, which fans have been clamoring for over a course of several years despite radio silence from Nintendo and very little information given to fans in over a decade. Some of these comments poked fun at the trend of people desperately claiming anything could be a clue of a return to Gen IV, with people joking about how Poke Balls are in Sinnoh (as they are in every game) so therefore this bus is a sign of Diamond and Pearl 2.

Another person joked about a Mew being under the truck, referencing an ancient Pokemon meme about an inexplicable truck present in Pokemon RGB that people thought they could find a legendary under. Other people point out that previously London put up a temporary Pokemon Center store, so the city might be doing that sort of marketing partnership again.

It's cool that such an old franchise that so many people grew up with is still a big enough part of common culture to be painting buses in 2020, and who knows, maybe this is actually the key to unlocking some mystery, whether it's a store or an in-game Easter egg.
