Players who chose Turtwig as their starter in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl may want to find ways to raise its firepower. Certain items in the Pokemon world can affect a Pokemon's stats in battle, while others can restore health/status effects or raise the power of moves. An item that trainers can get is the Miracle Seed, which boosts the damage of Grass-type moves. By equipping this on Turtwig, or any other Grass-type Pokemon, its damage output from Grass-type moves will increase a little in battle.

While Pokemon games such as Pokemon Sword/Shield had NPCs give trainers the Miracle Seed early in the story, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl's Miracle Seed won't be available until later in the game. There are two ways to get the Miracle Seed, but while one is guaranteed, the other is not. Here's where they can be found.

Floaroma Meadow

The first Miracle Seed can be found in Floaroma Meadow. Trainers will arrive in Floaroma City fairly early in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, but they won't be able to reach the back of the meadow until they've received HM Surf. On a first visit, players will unlock the Honey Tree mechanic and will be forced to go to the Valley Windworks to progress the story.

After receiving HM Surf in Celestic Town and winning Hearthome City's gym badge, use HM Fly to return to Floaroma Town. Continue to the right to get to Route 205. This time, instead of going to Eterna Forest, use HM Surf to the west of the bridge. Swim upstream and go left to reach the Fuego Ironworks. If players want to, they can go inside Fuego Ironworks and speak to Mr. Fuego to get a free Fire Stone.

Cross the river south of Fuego Ironworks to enter the northern part of Floaroma Meadow. There are many items here, including the Leaf Stone and the Miracle Seed. Luckily, Pokemon won't jump out and attack while roaming through the flowers, so take as much time as needed.

Get Miracle Seed from Cherubi

The second method players can get the Miracle Seed is by catching Cherubi. This Pokemon only appears on Honey Trees, meaning players can get Cherubi before they've even entered the Valley Windworks if they're lucky. Cherubi has a 70% chance of appearing on certain Honey Trees and a 20% chance of appearing on other Honey Trees. Cherubi has a 5% chance of carrying a Miracle Seed to make this even more complicated. So catching one doesn't necessarily mean it will be holding the Miracle Seed.

Bring a Pokemon with the Frisk ability to see if Cherubi is holding anything to make the process a little easier. If not, players can Run Away or knock it out. Or, if they want to add Cherubi to the Pokedex, they can always catch it instead.

Players looking to get more than one Miracle Seed in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl will need to farm other Miracle Seeds off Cherubi. If they're satisfied with just one Miracle Seed and don't mind waiting, then the better option is to snag the one in Floarama Meadow.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl are available now on Nintendo Switch.
