Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl's Technical Machines, otherwise known as HMs, have been around in the Pokemon universe for a very long time, allowing trainers the opportunity to teach a specific move to one of their Pokemon, as long as it fits within that Pokemon's typing, however. For example, players will not be able to teach Sludge Bomb to a Pokemon like Pikachu.
In Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Pokemon Shining Pearl for the Switch, Sludge Bomb is not only back as an attack move, but players are able to get its TM in a few different ways in the Sinnoh region. Here's where to find Sludge Bomb in Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
Where to Find Sludge Bomb (TM 36) in the Wild
Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl players need to head to Veilstone City, specifically the Galactic Warehouse near the west exit of the city. Once players are inside the Galactic building, they should follow these steps to find the location of the Sludge Bomb TM. If not carefully followed, players might end up getting lost or stuck trying to find the item.
- Head into the warehouse and then go downstairs.
- Head east down the path until a set of stairs are reached. Go up the stairs to reach the next area.
- In the next room, go up the only other set of stairs in the room.
- There are two teleporters in the next room. Go into the left one.
- Head into the only other teleporter in this tiny room.
- Head up the stairs.
- Go into the teleporter on the left.
- Go downstairs.
- Go left to another staircase leading down.
- The Sludge Bomb will be on the left side of the room inside of a Poke Ball.
Battle Park
Players can also get the Sludge Bomb TM by going to the Battle Park after beating the Elite Four. They'll need to exchange 80BP for the item, though, so players will need to spend some time getting points at the Battle Tower.
Grand Underground
The other way for players to find a Sludge Bomb is by purchasing it from one of the sellers in the Grand Underground. It is random, however, so players will need some luck using this method.
