Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have launched to mixed reactions from Pokemon fans, but this hasn't kept players from heading out to explore Sinnoh. The Gen 4 remakes give gamers a chance to relive the magic of the originals on new systems, experience the Sinnoh region for the very first time, or simply try to answer important questions. One Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl player shares a video answering an important question about the Pokemon Ditto.

Ditto the Transform Pokemon is a normal-type Pokemon that was one of the original 150 creatures added in the Kanto Region. This little shapeshifter is primarily known for its ability to use the move Transform and take on the shape - and move set - of another Pokemon. Both wild and captured Ditto can use this move in battle, which some players can use to their advantage.

Redditor famrob shared a 25-second-long video showcasing an encounter with a wild Ditto. The video seeks to answer the question of what would happen if a Ditto with normal colors used Transform on a shiny Ditto, which are light blue rather than pink. Famrob started the video by showing off a shiny Dialga, ordering it to return, and sending out their shiny Ditto. The wild Ditto responded by using Transform and took on the distinctive coloration of a shiny Ditto.

While it may seem obvious to some that a Ditto could take on the form and coloration of a shiny Pokemon, the fact that it can do this even to other Ditto may be a surprise. Whatever the case, the result of this video may interest players. Ditto is a reasonably popular Pokemon for battle due to its flexibility, but the Pokemon is best known for being able to breed with most other Pokemon. This makes the Pokemon a boon for players trying to raise specific Pokemon from eggs.

As of writing, it appears that other fans are surprised by the results of the video, but more impressed by the shiny Pokemon famrob put on display. One user reported that they had never wondered what would happen if Ditto used Transform on a shiny Ditto, but thanked famrob for answering the question anyway. A second user was distracted by the shiny Dialga featured at the beginning of the video, while a third user began referencing the movie Robots, possibly because the film's main character is a similar color to a shiny Ditto.
