After hoping for it for several years, fans of Pokemon Diamond and Pearl are finally getting their remakes. Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are due out next month, so plenty of exciting last-minute announcements are about to be revealed to entice some late preorders. Many fans were wondering if the remakes would feature anything from Pokemon Platinum, and it turns out at least one thing from the fan-favorite title is being included for early adopters.

After the release of the original Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, Game Freak made a third version to fix any issues and round out the experience of the Sinnoh region with new features. This third title was Pokemon Platinum, featuring Giratina on the box art, which made the original experience much more memorable to some fans that it became almost a cult classic. Since Platinum is so fondly remembered, fans asking for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl to feature its improvements is understandable, and one thing, in particular, is making a comeback.

For those that purchase the titles before February 21, 2022, they can receive the outfits the player characters wear in Platinum over Mystery Gift. These outfits seem to be more wintery-themed and seem to be made to keep players warm as they travel through Sinnoh. The look has been highly requested by fans and has almost been as fondly remembered as May and Brendan's Emerald Version outfits from the generation prior.

These outfits aren't the only thing players can get for getting the game right away, as Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is also offering a Manaphy egg through the same Mystery Gift promotion. Manaphy is a highly rare mythical Pokemon, and its egg has only been given away through a tie-in with the Pokemon Ranger games before. For the fans that dream of completing the Pokedex, this may be a promotion they won't want to miss.

Although the outfits for Platinum being featured as an early purchase bonus is nice, it seems to be one of the only features from the game that has been kept. There's been no sign of the return of the Reverse World many Platinum players loved, and many have questioned if Froslass will be in the Pokedex due to the absence of everything else from the special title.

Still, having at least something from the fan-favorite game is nice, and some fans have already mentioned being excited that just the outfits have returned. While those unable to get the game soon enough may end up missing out, it's still a nice touch that will make many Sinnoh fanatics happy.
