Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl release in just two weeks, but fans still have many questions regarding these remakes. Yesterday, a new Japanese trailer for the games was released online that highlights some of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl's gameplay mechanics that were featured in previous videos while also showing off some brand new gameplay footage.

Many fans of Pokemon were left split on the first trailer for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. On one hand, some fans were excited that Sinnoh remakes were finally coming, but on the other hand, some fans were disappointed with the art style of the games. Some fans were optimistically curious but have questions about what exactly is going to be included in these remakes.

Unfortunately, some fans might still have those questions after viewing the new trailer for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. It is a lengthy 5-minute trailer that covered some of the basics of the remakes such as the Sinnoh Gym Leaders, the various Pokemon that can be encountered in the region, and the Underground feature. New footage is shown during the Underground segment that highlights many of the statues that players can customize their secret base with. Additionally, new footage briefly shows off more areas and Pokemon that can be found in the Hideaways underground.

The trailer is currently only in Japanese, but it’s quite possible a similar version will release in English sometime soon. With just two weeks before launch, though, the chances of any more substantially large gameplay segments or new mechanics being revealed, such as Pokemon Mega Evolutions, are quite low.

Still, many fans are excited for the remakes and have even started planning out their Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl teams. Although it doesn’t appear as though Pokemon Platinum content will make its way to remakes, it still looks as though the games will feature plenty of new features such as Amity Square and clothing that were briefly shown in a separate 30-second trailer. In that trailer, the player can be seen entering a clothing-specific store. Originally, the trailers up until now only ever showed off the same few costumes, so it’s nice to see that a wide variety of clothing can be obtained.

It remains to be seen whether or not new footage will release for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. With a release this close, it’s possible whatever footage is shown won’t have major new or returning gameplay mechanics and instead further dive into what the remakes have shown off previously. Still, even if no new surprises are introduced, it’s possible that new content will come later down the line in the form of Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl DLC.
