Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are now less than two weeks away but speculation around the remakes are still growing. Recently a new Japanese trailer for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl was released that gave fans a further glimpse at what to expect from the remakes. Still, questions still remain in regard to what other gameplay elements will be included and what Pokemon will return.

Although not all Pokemon have been revealed, many fans have already started planning their Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl teams due to their excitement over the remakes. Some of these fans might go back and remake their teams as new promotional images for Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl were released that potentially reveal more Pokemon arriving for the remakes.

Over on the PokeLeaks Reddit forum, a user by the name of Pasiohraaim posted several Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl promotional images for coffee lids. In the images, many Pokemon are shown that could potentially be included in the remakes. Something that was observed is that the final slot for the promotional images is simply a Poke Ball. Although not something that initially draws attention as it appears to be a stylistic choice, a fan on Twitter by the name of SoulSilverArt shared how this might hint at the arrival of a new mythical Pokemon.

SoulSilverArt has stated that previous promotional images for Pokemon games such as Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, as well as Pokemon Sword and Shield, have also used a Poke Ball as the final slot of the promotional image. Mythical Pokemon such as Zarude and Zeraora were hidden in similar ways.

Of course, this is just fan speculation and could end up being a stylistic choice after all. There’s also another strange thing with the promotional images and that is the fact that they only list Pokemon from Generations 1 and Generations 4. A recent Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl trailer has shown Espeon, a Generation 2 Pokemon, following around a trainer so it’s odd that this Pokemon isn’t included in the promotional art.

With the games releasing in under two weeks, it’s odd that there are still so many questions around the remakes. Fans still wonder whether or not Pokemon mega evolutions will make a return, or whether or not all of the Pokemon Platinum content will be added. If any of this content is going to be included in Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, it’ll most likely be revealed soon.

Pokemon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl releases on November 19 for Nintendo Switch.
