We’re less than two months away from the North American release of Pokemon Black 2 and White 2, and the first ever numerically titled sequels to the core Pokemon franchise are building up quite nicely. The most recent Black 2 and White 2 trailer gave trainers a peek at what new features can be found in both of the much-anticipated titles, but some gamers may have wanted a little more than a short video that highlights a few of the games’ new features.

If that’s the case, then the latest animation pertaining to story-related events that occur in the upcoming titles should raise excitement significantly.

Some of our readers may immediately notice that this teaser looks oddly familiar, and that’s because it’s the same animated trailer for Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 that released in Japan — only this time it’s been dubbed in English. Both games have since gone on to absolutely dominate at retail in the region, and there’s no doubt that they’ll do the same after the localization process has been completed.

The animation in question is so top notch that it makes us wonder why the Pokemon anime currently airing is so lacklustre in comparison. If there’s any justice in this world, then Nintendo will do everything in their power to make a cartoon of this quality a reality. Even if that doesn’t happen, Pokemon fans will always have this six minute video to come back to.

Pokemon Black 2 Anime

Despite not including actual gameplay in the teaser, this is one of the best promotional items for Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 released thus far. Hopefully both versions manage to be as much fun to play as it was to watch that trailer, and if they’re anything like the original Black and White then fans have nothing to sweat.

Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 will be available for the Nintendo DS this October 7th.
