There are 18 different Types in Pokemon, and one of them is Fairy. It was introduced in Generation VI, actually. Currently, there are 59 Fairy-type Pokemon (including forms such as Mega Evolutions and regional).

When it comes to Special Defense, Fairy-type Pokemon have the highest average of all the Types. They are immune to Dragon-types too, which helps. However, Fairy-types are resisted by Poison-type Pokemon and they have the lowest average when it comes to Attack. They have exclusive access to some Abilities that help though, such as Aroma Veil, Flower Veil, Misty Surge, and Pixilate.

10 Granbull

Pokemon Granbull

Granbull is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation II (where it was originally a pure Normal-type Pokemon). At Level 23, it evolves from Snubbull. Granbull's Pokedex entry is #210.

While it has a huge pool of moves, decent bulk, high base Attack, and access to the ability Intimidate, Granbull is mediocre at best in battle. The only thing it has going for it, besides the pure Fairy-typing, is the move Earthquake. However, Granbull has bad Special Defense and Speed.

9 Rapidash (Galarian)

Pokemon Rapidash Galar

Rapidash, in Galar, is a Psychic- and Fairy-type Pokemon. Originally, it was introduced in Generation I as a pure Fire-type Pokemon. Rapidash, #078, evolves from Ponyta at Level 40.

It has an awesome type pairing and access to moves like Swords Dance and High Horsepower. Also, Rapidash's ability Pastel Veil is a fantastic deterrent from Poison-type Pokemon. But it is too frail and has such low Speed that it will not last a single turn.

8 Florges

Pokemon Florges

Florges is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VI. With a proper Shiny Stone, it evolves from Floette (which initially evolves from Flabebe). Florges, #671, comes in five different colors actually: Red, Yellow, Orange, Blue, and White.

It is one of the bulkiest Fair-type Pokemon in the game and has access to recovery moves like Synthesis and Wish. But that is Special Defense only, Florges's Defense is awful. So it is too one-sided and risky for battle.

7 Aromatisse

Pokemon Aromatisse

Aromatisse is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VI. When Spritzee is holding a Sachet and gets traded, it will evolve into Aromatisse. Its Pokedex entry is Number #683.

If not for being a pure Fairy-type Pokemon as well as having a bad base Special Attack and pool of moves, Aromatisse would be solid in battle. This is because it has good Defense and recovery moves like Wish and Heal Bell as well as technical ones like Trick Room, Encore, and Disable. How unfortunate.

6 Slurpuff

Pokemon Slurpuff

Slurpuff is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VI. When Swirlix is holding a Whipped Dream and gets traded, it evolves into Slurpuff. Its Pokedex entry is #685.

The good things about Slurpuff are the ability Unburden and the pure Fairy-typing. But there are so many other choices when it comes to physical attackers. So, why bother with it?

5 Comfey

Pokemon Comfey

Comfey is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VII. Its Pokedex entry is #764.

The best thing about Comfey is the ability Triage. So, when it uses Calm Mind and moves like Draining Kiss and Giga Drain, Comfey is threatening indeed. However, it is just too frail and relies too heavily on setting up before striking.

4 Alcremie

Pokemon Alcremie

Alcremie, #869, is a pure Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VIII. When Milcery holds a Sweet and the trainer spins around before striking a pose, it evolves into Alcremie. The form depends on the time of the day, length of the spin, the direction of the spin, and the kind of Sweet.

It has access to recovery moves, decent Special Defense and Special Attack, and a good pool of moves. But Alcremie also has poor Defense, HP, and Speed. Basically, without utilizing its Gigantimax, Alcremie is pointless in battles.

3 Dedenne

Pokemon Dedenne

Dedenne is an Electric- and Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VI. Its Pokedex entry is #702.

Besides Speed, Dedenne has terrible stats. And the moves it has access to are no better. Without using the move Recycle and items to raise Special Attack, it will not even do a dent in the opposing Pokemon.

2 Ribombee

Pokemon Ribombee

Ribombee is a Bug- and Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VII. At Level 25, it evolves from Cutiefly. Ribombee's Pokedex entry is #743.

For the most part, it is a beast in battle. Ribombee's Speed is phenomenal and it has a great type pairing as well as an awesome pool of moves (Sticky Web and Quiver Dance). Unfortunately, the offense is outclassed by other Pokemon that do not have ridiculously low bulk (and therefore do not stand a chance in battles, to begin with).

1 Shiinotic

Pokemon Shiinotic

Shiinotic is a Grass- and Fairy-type Pokemon that was introduced in Generation VII. At Level 24, it evolves from Morelull. Shiinotic's Pokedex entry is #756.

Pros? It has access to moves like Moonblast and Giga Drain. Cons? Shiinotic has extremely low Speed, HP, and Defense. On top of that, the Special Attack is nothing to sneeze at anyway.
