With just over a month until launch, Sony released a list of over 30 titles that will be coming to the PlayStation VR2 headset during the launch window. The list included titles from both first-party and third-party developers, as well as upgrades to existing PlayStation VR titles.

With features such as an OLED display set at 2000x2040 resolution per eye, a panel refresh rate of 90hz to 120hz, and the new PlayStation VR2 Sense controllers, the PlayStation VR2 looks to improve upon the success of the first PlayStation VR headset, which was released in 2016. The PlayStation VR2 will require a PS5 console to connect to, much like its predecessor needed a PS4. However, for users that already have a PS5, setup is as simple as connecting the headset to the USB-C port on the front of the PS5. A PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging dock will also be available for purchase when the headset launches, which can provide players with another means to charge their controllers without taking up a USB port on the PS5 console. Even though headsets and controllers carry a steep price tag, the PlayStation VR2 is a great way that players can get started with VR gaming in 2023.

The PlayStation VR2 will also launch alongside a hopeful killer app in the form of Horizon Call of the Mountain. Developed by Guerilla Games and Firesprite, it is a PlayStation VR2 exclusive that will be sold as both a standalone title, and as a bundle package that will include the headset and the game for $599 USD. The base headset and the Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle are now available for preorder on PlayStation Direct.

The release window of the PlayStation VR2 headset will be part of a busy February ahead for PlayStation players. Coupled with the release of titles such as Hogwarts Legacy, Octopath Traveler 2, and Destiny 2's Lightfall expansion, this looks to be one of the busiest months for PS5 users.
