New PlayStation VR Deals Available

Sony unveils a new holiday PlayStation VR promotion that offers the virtual reality headset, as well as a few game bundles, at a substantial discount.

This week fans of the PlayStation VR can expect a variety of deals to return with an upcoming promotion. Due to the popularity of the previous promotions, the Play Station Marketing team is reintroducing favorable offers to the VR community.

The PlayStation VR holiday deal was a success among fans and consequently, the marketing team was eager to bring it back. The holiday deal offers PS VR headsets and bundles starting at $199.99. The offer will be active from February 18th to March 3rd. However, the time designated to snap up this offer may not be suitable for fans who are awaiting the games that will be released towards the end of this year. Over 130 PlayStation VR games are expected to be released by the end of 2018.

Despite the long list of upcoming VR games, there are currently over 150 games and experiences available for the PlayStation VR. Additionally, a multitude of these games are included with the game bundles that this new promotion offers. One bundle of note is the PlayStation VR Doom VFR Bundle, which comes with a PlayStation VR headset, PlayStation Camera, the PS VR Demo Disc 2.0, and the Doom VFR Blu-ray Disc. Regularly, the bundle sells for $399.99 but its sale price is $299.99 for a limited time.

For the fans that prefer the tranquil environment of Skyrim's endless mountain ranges and the companionship of unruly Nords, then perhaps the Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR Bundle is a more desirable purchase. The award-winning game and all the official add-ons will be included within this bundle alongside the PlayStation Camera, two PlayStation Move controllers, the PS VR Demo Disc 2.0 and Skyrim VR. This promotional bundle will be available at all participating retailers in the U.S. for $349.99 MSRP (regularly $449.99).

The promotion is occurring during a key time for the PS VR, as a variety of game releases are beginning to display the full extent of the PS VR's global reach. Recent launches such as The Inpatient and Accounting +, and upcoming titles like Moss and Bravo Team suggest that the PS VR has no intention of slowing down.

The PlayStation VR holiday promotion begins on February 18th and runs until March 3rd.
