Gamers usually have their favorite consoles that they play games on. One of the consoles that gamers swear by is the famous PlayStation 2. This 1999 home gaming console has some remarkable features. For example, it has a DualShock controller with backward-compatibility. PlayStation 2 sets a new level of play for gamers overall.

Unfortunately, this console has some glitches in various games which can become frustrating for players. However, there are plenty of glitches that can help players with certain aspects of the games. Therefore, knowing what these glitches are and what games they are in is helpful. Below are some of the major glitches in the PlayStation 2 games.

10 The Towers Won't Budge (Airforce Delta Strike)

In the game Airforce Delta Strike, there is a glitch with the cooling towers in the Night Blitz mission. This mission takes place in Armaghest City, where the cooling towers have to be destroyed. As a challenge, the cooling towers can be in a downwards position before rising up for players to attack them. However, sometimes the towers will freeze in this position.

Usually, destroying the targets around the towers lifts them back up. The glitch prevents this from happening, though. Players usually have to start the entire mission over and hope it doesn't glitch again.

9 Body Slamming Your Way Onto The Boat Will Break It (Crash Twinsanity)

There is a glitch in the game Crash Twinsanity regarding the boat. There is a point in the game where players can get on a boat, which takes them back and forth between the island and Cortex's Lair.

Players claim that if they jump onto the boat as the game insists, it works. However, if they perform a body slam on the boat, it doesn't move at all. This is a strange glitch because players are on the boat either way, so it should move regardless.

8 Attack Your Enemy To Freeze The Game (Dragon Ball Z: Budokai)

The famous Dragon Ball Z: Budokai sadly has a glitch. When playing, the screen changes for players who taunt before the Energy Field. It somehow transitions into a screen for a special move instead! Plus, the opponent freezes in place until players attack them again.

This glitch might seem beneficial, but the attack can cause the game to either drastically slow down or freeze entirely. Running fast towards the opponent can also cause the game to freeze. Players must reset if this happens.

7 Survive The Bottomless Death Pit (Jak 2)

Jak and Daxter being chased in flying vehicle

The glitch in Jak 2 is pretty fun, to be honest. When players are on their way to the Haven Forest, they reach a platform. Players can position themselves on the platform's edge and it drops them off near the forest. Players fall to what seems to be their deaths.

However, they do not die as they should. Instead, players remain at the bottom of this death pit, walking around like normal. They cannot climb back up either because there are walls all around. It seems easier to just die at the bottom at this point.

6 Inflate Jak's Head (Jak & Daxter: The Lost Frontier)

Players can find humor in the glitch in the game Jak And Daxter: The Lost Frontier. After unlocking the Monster Mitts cheat, go to the secrets' menu. Next, click Start to keep playing and then click Start again. This brings players to the secrets' menu where they can cancel the cheat. Click Start one more time and the cheat will restore.

Every time players repeat these steps, Jak's hands get larger and larger, which is not a normal of the game. The glitch makes it part of the game, though.

5 Gain Gamebreaking Advantages (Metal Arms: Glitch In The System)

The glitches in Metal Arms: Glitch In The System benefit players. When players are at the column, they can bomb up the wall that's on an incline. They can also move up the column itself to reach its top.

Also, when players reach the end of the platform, they can attack through the walls. That is to say, they can toss grenades and shoot right through the walls. This is very helpful because enemies on the other side of the wall can't see it coming.

4 Stick A Colossus' Head In A Window (Shadow Of The Colossus)

Players who choose to perform the glitch in Shadow Of The Colossus have a lot of work to do. It's worth it though. Players can attack the Eighth Colossus' (aka Kuromori) weak spots when it's in front of the arena's windows. First, they must maneuver around it so it's facing the windows.

Then, they can jump and latch onto the window and attack betwixt its back legs. This causes the Eighth Colossus to die and it then sticks on the window throughout the rest of the game. Players can return and think about their great performance during the fight.

3 Become A Human Motorcycle (WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain)

In the game WWE SmackDown! Here Comes The Pain, there is a rather humorous glitch. When players are on a motorcycle, they can make someone else get on the forklift. Then, players must toss a box right at them. Seems pretty normal so far, right? What happens next is anything but that, because the motorcycle will now be stuck to the other player.

Players can then walk up onto the truck with the motorcycle. Normally, motorcycles are not on top of trucks in this game.

2 Press Select To Control Sly (Sly Cooper & The Thievius Raccoonus)

This glitch in the game Sly Cooper And The Thievius Raccoonus is rather pointless. However, some players are into it. Before finishing a sequence, players can click Select and they will be fully controlling Sly. Therefore, he can move with the camera that rotates on the title screen.

Plus, players who head to the Wall Walk tutorial cannot access the cutscene. They then have to put the game on pause, load it, and make sure to save. Again, kind of pointless but it's still a glitch!

1 The Spice Grinder Destruction Erases Progress (Sly 2: Band Of Thieves)

Players do not want to experience the glitch in Sly 2: Band Of Thieves because it's not fun. Essentially, if players die after entering the area where Spice Grinder Destruction happens, they are out of luck. Episode 3 resets to the same place, forcing players to complete all of the tasks up to that point again.

This is the only way to rejuvenate their percentages. This glitch also occurs in Episode 7 if players die at the Laser Redirection building. The point is, don't die during these points in the episodes.
