Throughout the PS4 generation, PSN sales featured hundreds of games at deep discounts, and every sale turned into an event of sorts. This trend continues with the PS5 generation, as players are able to purchase popular and critically acclaimed games at a reasonable discount on the PlayStation Store nearly every week.Earlier this month, a new PlayStation Store sale offered several games for under $15. This mainly focused on indie games but also included some big-budget titles. Bound by Flame was available for just two dollars, while Get Even could be purchased for five bucks. Now, Sony has announced a brand-new sale that offers great discounts on a wide variety of games.RELATED: PlayStation 3 Games Now Visible in the PlayStation 5 StoreThe “Planet of the Discounts” promotion is now available on the PlayStation Store. Players can save up to 70% on games like Demon’s Souls, Red Dead Redemption 2, and Hitman 3, along with hundreds of other titles at a discounted rate. Demon’s Souls is available for $39.89 while Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition sells for $40.19. The standard edition of Hitman 3 is on sale for 24 bucks, whereas Destiny 2: Beyond Light can be purchased for 20. This sale is scheduled to last for two weeks and will end on March 2, 2022.

Fans of all genres will probably be pleased by this selection, as the Planet of the Discounts promotion has a lot of variety and contains a good mix of indie and AAA titles. Resident Evil Village, Deathloop, and Returnal are all considered to be some of the best games of 2021, and players can take this opportunity to grab them at a discounted rate. However, Sony is only offering a 29% discount on Returnal, which anyway costs more being a PS5 exclusive title, and it is available for around 50 dollars.

The sale also includes some recently released games and Rainbow Six Extraction, available for $31.99, is perhaps the most surprising title on this list. While Rainbow Six Extraction launched to relatively mixed reviews and not a lot of hype, it’s still less than a month old. Perhaps the initial sales of Extraction did not meet internal expectation, so Ubisoft decided to offer a discount as a part of this promotion. Fans should note that every copy of Extraction comes with a Buddy Pass, which allows friends to play for free for up to 14 days.
