While the GameStop Game Days Summer Sale is currently discounting new titles for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Switch, the latest PlayStation Store sale is focusing on something different altogether. More specifically, this new sale from Sony offers "can't miss classics at yesteryear pricing," and it is dubbed PlayStation Retro. Indeed, for those that that are looking to add some older titles to their collections, the deals found in this PlayStation Store sale are not to be missed.

While there are some classic arcade games offered in the PlayStation Retro sale, such as Galaga and Pac-Man, the bulk of the titles originate from the era of the PlayStation 2 and beyond. Those that are interested in going back in time with their gaming may be happy to discover that they can pickup titles like Ape Escape 2Destroy All Humans!Psychonauts, and many more for a fraction of their original costs.

There are also many newer games, that have their roots in the classics, to be found in this PlayStation Store sale. Titles like Crash Bandicoot N. Sane TrilogyDark Souls Remastered, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy all released in the last few years, and they are included in the PlayStation Retro sale. So too, acclaimed indie games like FezJourney, and Owlboy have had their prices slashed in Sony's ongoing video game deal.

Last week, a PlayStation Store Capcom sale brought deep discounts on titles from many beloved series, including the Devil May Cry and Resident Evil franchises.
