Lately, the Batman franchise has been getting a lot of buzz, both for the latest Joker movie and consistently-rumored Court of Owls game in the Batman Arkham series. To add to the current Batman craze, the PlayStation Store is hosting a WB Sale, which provides generous discounts on the Batman games and associated add-ons.

Headlining the WB Sale is the discounted Batman: Arkham Collection. Normally $59.99, the collection containing Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight is now priced at $17.99. The collection also includes every add-on and DLC content, with Batman: Arkham Knight previously being part of September's free PS Plus games. However, this could be considered the next best thing for all the content at a relatively low price.

Batman: Return to Arkham is also on sale. At 60% off, the collection consisting of last generation's Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City is currently priced at $7.99. As two of the best Batman games of all-time, it would be a mistake not to get the superior versions of Batman: Arkham City and Arkham Asylum's last-gen counterparts.

As this is the WB Sale, the PlayStation Store also has discounts on other WB games. This includes Hitman 2, which has been discounted from $59.99 to $20.99. Hitman 2 is a worthy buy, as it improves upon the original mechanically and otherwise. Furthermore, its open-world levels are so intricate that there are many things players can do that Hitman 2 never discloses. Simply put, Hitman 2 is a widely-appreciated Hitman entry and is, by many accounts, worth the current price of admission.

Other titles and discounted items include the following:

As can be seen above, the WB Sale is offering quite a large selection of compelling games. Of course, the Batman: Arkham games and its add-ons are highlights of the discounts. However, games like Hitman 2 and Mortal Kombat 11 help to diversify the set of discounted titles.

The Batman: Arkham series from Rocksteady is a highly-acclaimed one, and it stands as one of the best comic book-based game series of the past decade. For players who have not gotten a chance to play through the series, now is an ideal time to do so. The sale ends on October 14.

A new Batman: Arkham game is rumored to be in development.
