PlayStation's State of Play events are always exciting events, as fans speculate over what games will get shown and announced. This burden has been easened a bit for tomorrow's State of Play, as PlayStation is already teasing one of the game's that will be getting some screen time.

Not too long ago fans were starving for new PlayStation information, as it had been months since the last State of Play. Suddenly though, PlayStation came out swinging with its September State of Play event, and with another broadcast for October, a bit more consistency is appearing. In the last State of Play, Insomniac Games continued to impress, revealing not only the much anticipated Marvel's Spider-Man 2, but also a spin-off Wolverine game, coming off the heels of this year's Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Likewise, God of War: Ragnarok received an extended preview, showing footage from many of the game's cinematics as well as some glimpses of gameplay.

A new tweet from PlayStation shows gameplay of Little Devil Inside, which will have an "in-depth look" during tomorrow's State of Play. "All aboard for tomorrow's State of Play," PlayStation writes, as the wandering protagonist seen in Little Devil Inside's last trailer sleeps on a train platform. Little Devil Inside is from the Korean studio Neostream, who started the project in 2015 as a Kickstarter, and eventually confirmed it as a timed PS4 and PS5 console exclusive. From the snippets of gameplay shown, it looks like a highly stylized mashup of Monster Hunter and Dark Souls, as the wanderer fights monsters using a variety of tools in a Victorian backdrop.

Following the last trailer, Little Devil Inside fell into controversy with one of its enemy designs. A portion of the trailer depicted the protagonist running away from enemies who were dark-skinned with dreadlocks and masks with bulging red lips, all of which have been used as stereotypes against Black people. Neostorm promptly addressed the situation with an apology and how it planned to fix the enemies' appearances. This incident occurred during the peak of the Black Lives Matter protests in the United States, which made things look even worse for Neostorm, despite being a Korean video game studio.

Considering how it has now been over a year since the game was last seen, it will be exciting to get a fresh look at Little Devil Inside. The last trailer showed a lot of the game's environments and scenarios, though it was difficult to discern where gameplay started and ended, so hopefully tomorrow's preview will truly show the game in action. PlayStation's support of indie developers has been criticized in the past so seeing the company openly marketing Little Devil Inside like this is a welcome sight.

Little Devil Inside is in development for PC, PS4, and PS5 with more platforms planned.
