Sony has revealed the next three regions to gain access to its new PlayStation rewards program, PlayStation Stars. The program was officially launched earlier this month with Asia, North America, and South America receiving the first batch of quests and collectibles for PlayStation Stars. Players can earn points by completing quests, earning platinum trophies in specific games, and buying specific games with players even able to get full games as rewards through the program. Now, Sony is getting ready for its second rollout of PlayStation Stars.

Sony has officially confirmed the launch of PlayStation Stars in three new regions with the program introduced for Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. The PlayStation rewards program had previously been confirmed to be coming to the three regions alongside its Asian and American launches. Players in Europe, Australia, and New Zealand can sign up for PlayStation Stars through the PlayStation app and begin collecting points to redeem for digital collectibles or full games. Many of the collectibles available with the program reference classic Sony properties like Ape Escape and the PlayStation 3.

PlayStation Stars has already added a variety of ways for players to earn rewards points through the program with several quests. Campaigns launched alongside the program's release give players small rewards for simple tasks like playing PS4/PS5 games, playing popular fighting games, or buying one of a collection of games. The Hit Play/1994 campaign even gives players rewards points for launching games based on clues from songs released in the PlayStation's Japanese launch year. Players can obtain exclusive collectibles by completing the platform's launch missions.

Alongside PlayStation Stars' assortment of digital collectibles and rewards, PS Plus members gain some special perks as a part of the rewards program. Players with PS Plus will earn rewards points for every purchase, regardless of current PlayStation Stars promotions. PS Plus members also have the ability to convert PlayStation Stars points into store credit for the PlayStation Store, with early reports from Japan equating 1,750 PlayStation Stars points to roughly $5 US dollars. The program also promises exclusive collectibles for Stars members signed up for PlayStation's premium membership.

PlayStation's newly-instated rewards program comes as the platform is slated for a busy holiday season with several high-profile releases. God of War: Ragnarok is set to launch next month as one of Sony's most high-profile titles of 2022. Fall is also set to bring several major multi-platform releases with Sonic Frontiers and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 also scheduled to release in the coming weeks. PlayStation Stars will look to give PlayStation players even more reason to stick with Sony with exclusive rewards and collectibles.
