PlayStation is kicking off another massive sale over on the PlayStation Store. The sale features deals and discounts on over 1,300 different games for both PS4 and PS5, particularly with popular indie titles such as Disco Elysium - The Final Cut, Super Meat Boy Forever, and more.

The new sale on independent titles, aptly called the PlayStation Indies Sale, compounds with the already ongoing Days of Play Sale. A massive sale in its own right, the Days of Play Sale offers discounts on some of PlayStation's biggest triple-A games, like Demon's Souls Remake, Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales: Ultimate Edition, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure.

The PlayStation Indies sale offers players deals on a wide variety of indie titles, with several being particularly appealing standouts. The previously mentioned Disco Elysium - The Final Cut launched on Sony consoles just a few months ago, on sale for the first time from $40 down to $28. The enduringly popular horror FPS Hunt: Showdown is at quite the deep discount for $18, over half off its usual price tag. Castlevania's spiritual successor Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is only $20 during the sale as well. The popular Metroidvania's developers ArtPlay and 505 Games just confirmed today that a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel is in the works.

PlayStation's combined sales on both triple-A and indie titles offer an incredibly vast selection. However, it isn't the only big video game sale going on right now. The Epic Games Store is currently holding its Epic Mega Sale, which offers up to 70 percent off some of the biggest titles available on PC.

New releases like Square Enix's looter-shooter Outriders are marked 25 percent off, even though it released just two months ago. One advantage the Epic Games Store may have over the PlayStation sale is in bundling, as Assassin's Creed Valhalla is bundled with Immortals Fenyx Rising or Watch Dogs Legion for only $64.89. However, it'll ultimately come down to a prospective customer's gaming platform preference.

Sony seems to be on a hot streak of sales so far this year. In addition to things like the Golden Week Sale, the PlayStation Store just wrapped up its retro and remaster sale, which offered low prices for classics like MediEvil, Shadow of the Colossus, and the Devil May Cry: HD Collection. While the deals for the now-over sale encompassed over 200 games, the online storefront has well over five times the amount of options, making right now almost certainly the biggest and best sale the PlayStation Store has had this year.

The PlayStation Indies Sale runs until June 19. While it's pretty clear that pages upon pages of games are at discounted prices at the moment, it still requires PlayStation gamers to spend money, something that many don't readily have. Fortunately, with the new month, new free PS Plus games are now available, giving subscribers the opportunity to enjoy some high-profile games at zero cost.
