The PlayStation Store is holding a sale throughout the weekend that puts massive discounts on select PS4 games. The PS Plus Platinum sale is open to all PS Plus subscribers, who can purchase games with discounts of up to 50% off. The sale is available now, but players who are interested in scoring a deal should remember that a PS Plus membership is required to access the discounted prices and the sale will end on September 16th at 8 AM PT.
The best part about the PS Plus Platinum Sale is that it is offering some games that were only released this year, together with slightly older yet iconic titles. Days Gone is one of the games on sale, and it is available for $41.99, which is 30% off of its original list price of $59.99. Days Gone has just recently added a new game plus mode, in addition to two new difficulty settings, a few trophies, and some cosmetic items.
The sale is also offering NetherRealm's Mortal Kombat 11, which is currently priced at $41.99, 30% off of its list price of $59.99. Aside from the base game, Mortal Kombat 11's DLC Kombat Pack is also available. The expansion adds several new fighters in the game and is available for $27.99 from its original price of $39.99.

Don't have a PS Plus subscription? Luckily, Newegg is currently offering a good deal for a 12-month subscription to PS Plus. Normally, a one year access to the service costs around $60, but Newegg is offering a big discount reducing that amount to $43. The deal is available to new subscribers, or those players wishing to renew or extend their subscription.
