With April almost coming to a close, Sony Interactive Entertainment has now unveiled what free games PlayStation Plus subscribers will be receiving next month for May 2017 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita platforms. As one would expect, the PlayStation Plus service is treating PS4 fans to the most notable titles in the lineup, as the current generation platform players will be receiving Telltale Games’ Tales from the Borderlands and Giant Squid’s Abzu.

For those unaware, Giant Squid’s Abzu debuted back in August 2016 on PS4 and Windows PC, and is an undersea adventure that allows players to step into the role of a deep sea diver who swims with a wide variety of marine life. Tales from the Borderlands, on the other hand, is an episodic adventure developed by Telltale Games that’s based on Gearbox Software’s original Borderlands franchise, and it centers around the stories of the two main characters of Rhys, a Hyperion business shark, and a con artist named Fiona.

Additionally, PS4 owners will also be able to get both of May’s PlayStation Vita games for free, due to Sony’s cross-buy program. The PS Vita titles being offered up for next month are Out of Bounds Games’ Laser Disco Defenders, which is a bullet-hell shooter, and Ex Nihilo’s Type:Rider, which happens to be an action/puzzle platformer where players take on the role of a punctuation colon and navigates through levels that are inspired by the history of typography.

As far as the PlayStation 3 titles are concerned, as usual, players on the last generation platform will receive two separate games for being a PlayStation Plus subscriber. The first game up for grabs will be Deck13 Interactive’s Blood Knights–hack-and-slash action game–and Gaming Minds’ Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants, which is a business simulation game.

PlayStation Plus subscribers eager to get their hands on these six titles will have to wait a mite longer, though, as they will become available next Tuesday, on May 2, 2017. In the meantime, however, those who have yet to pick up the free games for April should do so as soon as possible before they no longer can.

PlayStation Plus‘ free games for next month become available on May 2, 2017.
