Every month, Sony adds new games to its PlayStation Now subscription service, giving subscribers access to hundreds of games across multiple console generations. PlayStation Now may not drum up the same kind of excitement as the free PS Plus games, but PlayStation gamers definitely shouldn't sleep on the service. For a relatively low price, PlayStation Now gives gamers on PC, PS4, and PS5 undeniable value.

Sony has now pulled the curtain back on the new PlayStation Now games for December 2021, which will consist of four titles. The headliner for the PlayStation Now games for December 2021 is Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition, the remastered version of the classic open world PS2 game that was recently released as part of the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy collection. PlayStation Now subscribers have from Tuesday, December 7 to Monday, January 31 to play Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition through the service.

Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition on PlayStation Now is not as big of a deal as it was originally, mainly thanks to the game's incredibly poor reception. Grand Theft Auto 3: Definitive Edition launched in a broken state, drawing the ire of GTA fans and earning widespread criticism online. Rockstar Games has since released multiple patches to make Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition a much more enjoyable experience, but improvements still need to be made for the game to reach its full potential.

  • Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster
  • Grand Theft Auto 3: The Definitive Edition (until January 31)
  • John Wick Hex
  • Spitlings

Another big game that PlayStation Now subscribers can look forward to this month is Final Fantasy 10/10-2 HD Remaster. This collection of games brings together the HD versions of the critically-acclaimed JRPGs Final Fantasy 10 and its direct sequel, Final Fantasy 10-2. Final Fantasy 10 remains one of the most popular Final Fantasy games ever made, and it should be a strong addition to the PlayStation Now lineup. It joins previously-added Final Fantasy games Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9, and will be followed by the addition of Final Fantasy 12: The Zodiac Age in January.

PlayStation Now subscribers also have strategy game John Wick Hex and co-op arcade game Spitlings to look forward to this month, with both games coming to PlayStation Now on Tuesday, December 7.

There are rumors that Sony may be expanding PlayStation Now or folding it into a new service to better compete with Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass. Whether or not that actually comes to pass remains to be seen, but in the meantime, PlayStation Now subscribers can continue looking forward to new games every month.
