PlayStation Now, Sony's alternate subscription service which has been historically overshadowed by PlayStation Plus, has been slowly growing in relevance over the last seven years. As of writing, PlayStation Now has been transformed into a platform for streaming and downloading classic games, and judging by a new leak, subscribers may have a lot to look forward to this July.

Redditor Mattx603 shared first a screenshot and then a short recording of what appears to be an ad for PlayStation Now's July game selection. The leak suggests that while no new horror games will come to PlayStation Now, subscribers will get access to six solid titles from genres ranging from action to physics simulators.

If this leak is to be believed, Red Dead Redemption 2, Nioh 2, God of War, Moving Out, Judgment, and Team Sonic Racing will soon be arriving on PlayStation Now. It has been argued that PlayStation Now has the potential to surpass PlayStation Plus, and it's possible this slate of titles could be the moment when the service comes into its own. Apparently, the video was taken from a Facebook ad encountered by Mattx603 on a mobile browser, though they haven't shared specifics.

The leak has been greeted with disbelief and tentative excitement on Reddit. While some posters had difficulty believing the initial leaked screenshot to be genuine, the appearance of the video recording complete with animation helped convince many. It also helps that PlayStation fans have reason to hope that Sony may soon expand PlayStation Now and bringing giants like Red Dead Redemption 2, Judgment, and God of War to the subscription service would be a good start to that. The leak states that Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available exclusively via PS4 and PS5 download, which likely means that players will not be able to stream it. Despite this limitation, Red Dead Redemption 2 appears to be the title Reddit users most anticipate seeing on PlayStation Now.

PlayStation Now focuses on bringing back older games from previous console generations, currently cutting off at the PS4 era. Now that Sony has shut down its legacy digital stores, PlayStation Now could become the company's new hub for backwards compatibility, sweeping in before Nintendo can add the Virtual Console to the Switch. Despite their doubts about the leak's validity, posters in the video's comment section were overwhelmingly in favor of these titles being added to PlayStation Now. If the leak does prove to be accurate, many posters believe it could draw in a lot of new subscribers for PlayStation Now.
