It's a long shot, but PlayStation might have accidentally unveiled a currently unannounced — but heavily rumored — PlayStation title. When asking gamers what their favorite video games were to pass the time or play with friends, Sony accidentally added Gran Turismo 7 to its poll.

It happened over on the official PlayStation Twitter account for Brazil. The poll featured four games in total: Just Dance 2020Knack IIFIFA 20, and the mentioned Gran Turismo 7The first three games have already released and even received generally positive reception. Gran Turismo 7, on the other hand, has not.

Upon catching its mistake, PlayStation's Brazilian Twitter account deleted the poll and replaced it with a new one. Now, instead of having Gran Turismo 7 on it, the tweet says Gran Turismo Sport, which is the most recent game released in the Gran Turismo series. This error could have been an honest mistake on the Twitter handler's part, but some find it hard to believe that someone mixed up "Sport" with "7."

It doesn't help that a similar situation happened with a company called Next Level Racing — a manufacturer for racing cockpits that's worked with Sony in the past to create PlayStation-themed GTtracks. Just yesterday, Next Level Racing shared an Instagram post that revealed a Gran Turismo 7 logo. When this inevitably blew up, the company pulled a move similar to that of Sony and removed the post.

Afterward, the manufacturer released an official statement that claimed the logo was a fake, and that it didn't know of any new upcoming Gran Turismo games. Many people didn't buy it, though, and today's incident with Sony has only strengthened the idea that Gran Turismo 7 will end up a PlayStation 5 launch title. It's all wild speculation, but it is admittedly a little hard to ignore two incidents of "erroneous" Gran Turismo 7 promotion happening back to back.

The head of Polygon Digital, Kazunori Yamauchi, even discussed the future goals of the Gran Turismo series recently, and they line up a little too well with what Sony wants to do with the PlayStation 5. He also confirmed a year ago that Polygon Digital was working on a new Gran Turismo game, but he didn't actually say if it was Gran Turismo 7.

Sony has also yet to announce when a PlayStation 5 reveal date will even happen, let alone the list of games it has planned for the console's launch. The PS5 still has six months left before it releases. Here's hoping that it won't take that long to find out if Gran Turismo 7 is happening or not.

Gran Turismo 7 has rumors claiming it's in development exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
