The release of the PS5 several weeks ago marked the end of the long stint of its predecessor, the PlayStation 4. While it is expected that Sony will support the PS4 for a few more years, its huge fanbase is expected to slowly transition from the current to the next-generation PlayStation console. For seven years now, the PS4 has provided players with some of the best games of the decade, which is why several players are creating their own tributes to commemorate the PS4.

A YouTuber, who goes by the name of Gameplay No Commentary, recently uploaded a touching tribute that highlights all of the iconic games that have graced the PS4. Most of the games featured in the video tribute include PS4-exclusive titles such as The Last of Us, Horizon Zero Dawn, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank, and many more. The video even featured recently released PS4 games such as Marvel's Spider-Man, The Last of Us 2, and Ghost of Tsushima. Interestingly enough, the thumbnail used for the video is inspired by the iconic selfie that Ellen DeGeneres took at The Oscars. But instead of celebrities, the photo featured iconic video game characters.

Although the PS4 is nearing the end of its lifecycle, it is expected that it will take a few more years before most of its player base will switch to the PS5, especially since the new console is still suffering from bugs and supply shortages. Ever since the PS5's release, early adopters discovered some problems with the new console, such as download issues, connectivity problems with the DualSense controller, and the dreaded Rest Mode issue that is reported to have bricked some PS5 consoles.

At the moment, Sony is slowly addressing the known bugs and glitches on the PS5, but a good number of problems that players discovered at launch still lingers. Several days ago, Sony released a new update for the PS5, which improves system performance, and addresses some minor issues. It is currently unclear when Sony will fix some of the most glaring problems on the PS5, but it is expected that a bigger update will be rolled out before the year ends.

Unfortunately, stocks of the PS5 are still pretty much non-existent. During its November 12 launch, stocks of the console were quickly sold out, and while retailers offered a second wave of consoles last Black Friday, the new stocks flew off shelves the moment they became available. It is worth noting that Sony is well-aware of the PS5 stock shortage, and the company has promised that more consoles will be distributed to major retailers before 2020 draws to a close.
