While 2023 could mark the end of easy Trophy games for PlayStation users, the final month of 2022 did not let up on the cheesy Trophy titles. As fans of PlayStation Trophy shovelware wait with bated breath to see if the rumors about a crackdown on these kinds of games actually comes, developers have continued to release new entries in some go-to franchises for Trophy hoarders.

Several of December 2022’s easy Trophy games should look familiar to PlayStation users who have breezed through titles with easy lists in the past. Further, some new titles fall into the usual categories for simple Trophy lists, like visual novels and puzzle games. Intriguingly, PlayStation Plus Extra users have instant access to some of December’s easiest games, so those subscribed to the higher tier of the service should consider taking advantage of the opportunity.

Breaking Down December 2022’s Easy Trophy Games

As mentioned above, PlayStation Plus Extra subscribers who happen to love Trophies are in luck, as two of last month’s easy titles are accessible through the service at no extra charge. First up is The Pedestrian, which is a charming puzzle game that is worth the 2-3 hour playthrough. However, if players use a guide to access debug mode, they can speed through the Trophy list in just five minutes. Pinball Heroes is another easy Platinum accessible through PS Plus Extra, as it can be finished in around an hour. Intriguingly, it is one of the only PSP games to get a Platinum Trophy, as it has been given a PS4 and PS5 version.

Beyond this exciting bit of info for PS Plus Extra subscribers, players are looking at some of the usual easy Trophy games. For instance, there are new entries in the Jumping series, all of which can be bought twice and require nearly no effort to Platinum. Gamers simply need to hold down the X button as they watch a food item hop up and down, and after a few minutes, the Platinum will pop. The new Zippy the Circle game continues the trend of easy games starring the circular mascot, while Santa Claus keeps Breakthrough Gaming’s history of easy Platinums alive.

December’s easiest Platinums by far are The Spidy Quiz and Quiz This United Kingdom, as just like all the other Quiz titles, Trophy hunters will be done in around 30 seconds. In these games, players are given questions with only two answers, and if they get the answer wrong, they can instantly try again. As such, by spamming the L1 and R1 buttons, they can acquire the Platinum without even playing the game. All versions of the Quiz This United Kingdom are the same, but with lists comprised of Bronze, Silver, and Gold Trophies exclusively. For players looking for laughably easy Platinums that will not cost a lot of money, Pammy - Project Summer Ice Pinball and Hakosan are only $1 each.

For those fond of the visual novel genre and simple Trophies, Raptor Boyfriend could be worth playing. However, if players want a laughably bad experience that they will never forget, a 40-minute run through There is a Genie in My Schezhuan Sauce should be considered. Just like the easy November Trophy game John Fart: Text-iverse of Crazyness, this visual novel has an intentionally awful story, with painful dialogue and acting to match. Trophy hunters with a bit of time to spare and seeking out some awkward laughter need look no further, as this is the PlayStation game for them.
