Sony's Days of Play sale on the PlayStation Store is officially begun. PlayStation gamers hoping to save some money on some of the PS4's hottest games now have the opportunity. The sale officially started on June 2 and is planned to last just two weeks, ending on June 17. Dozens of games are on sale including recent releases and classic PlayStation Hits. In addition to game discounts, subscriptions including 12 months of PlayStation Plus and 12 months of PlayStation Now are also cheap.

Major releases that are currently on sale include Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Resident Evil 3, MLB The Show 20, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Persona 5 Royal, and more. These games specifically are between 25% and 34% off their full retail price. However, discounts can go significantly lower. For example, FIFA 20 is discounted 83% and is selling for only $10.19. There are dozens of discounted games for players to consider picking up.

The Days of Play Sale also features discounts on DLC and in-game currency for several games. Expansions or season passes like Spider-Man's City That Never Sleeps DLC and the Destiny 2 Forsaken expansion. Currencies that are discounted include Stubs for MLB The Show 20, Pearls for Black Desert, and Apex Legends bundles with Legendary skins and Apex Coins.

Perhaps even more exciting, especially for newer PS4 gamers, are the big discounts on retail copies of PlayStation Hits. PlayStation Hits are some of the best games released on PS4 over the years, already cut to a low price. The sale drops those prices even lower. Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition, Gran Turismo Sport, The Last of Us Remastered, God of War, Nioh, Yakuza Zero, and more can be picked up for just $9.99 at select retailers.

Games aren't all that's discounted during the Days of Play Sale. 12 months of PlayStation Plus subscription can be purchased for just $39.99, a 30% discount off of its standard $59.99 price. PS Now, PlayStation's game streaming service, is similarly discounted.

The Days of Play Sale was originally slated to coincide with Sony's PS5 event, which would showcase many of the games coming to PS5 this holiday season. That event was delayed out of respect for the ongoing George Floyd protests in the USA. The sale, however, was likely unable to be stopped so close to its start. It's not clear whether Sony will try to bring back its event before the sale ends, but with two weeks before Days of Play ends on June 17, there's still plenty of time to fit it in.
