A PlayStation fan creates an awesome game holder for some of his favorite titles while paying homage to several franchises that were featured on the original PlayStation console. Sony's first PlayStation console has many iconic exclusives that rose to prominence in the late 90s, and the company still enjoys the success of some of these franchises on PlayStation 5.

Sony first launched the original PlayStation in Japan on December 3, 1994, and the console would become one of the most successful of all time following its worldwide launch in 1995. Crash Bandicoot, Gran Turismo, and Final Fantasy 7 are among the many titles that would catapult PlayStation as a recognizable brand around the world. Almost three decades later, the excitement surrounding the PlayStation brand continues with upcoming PlayStation 5 titles such as Final Fantasy 16 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2. One PlayStation fan pays tribute to the Sony's first console while acknowledging some of their current favorite games from the modern era of gaming.

PlayStation fan Reddfawks illustrated and created a fantastic game holder for several of their favorite PlayStation 4 games. These PlayStation 4 games include Final Fantasy 15, Ratchet & Clank, Yakuza 0, and Kingdom Hearts 3. The blue PlayStation game holder appears to be made out of plastic and resin, which are common materials for 3D printing projects. Additionally, the game holder features chibi illustrations of Crash from Crash Bandicoot, Spike from Ape Escape, Spyro from Spyro the Dragon, Cloud from Final Fantasy 7, and PaRappa from PaRappa the Rapper.

The chibi illustrations were drawn by Reddfawks while creating the blue game holder, and the user plans to make more illustrations for additional custom game holders. One of the new game holders will feature illustrations of Dante and his crew from Devil May Cry 5, which is another game that Reddfawks considers to be a strong favorite in their current collection.

Reddfawks' game holder is a great tribute to fan-favorite franchises from the original PlayStation console. Coincidentally, the game holder serves its purpose of highlighting the user's favorite PlayStation 4 games. Since PlayStation 5 game cases are roughly the same size, PlayStation 5 games may be placed in the game holder as well.

Some beloved franchises associated with the PlayStation brand are still going strong with new entries in 2023, such as Crash Team Rumble and the recently released Resident Evil 4 remake. Sony is expected to showcase more upcoming PlayStation 5 titles in the near future, but the company has yet to reveal definitive plans for this summer.
