The PlayStation brand is defined by its exclusive games, with the PS4 era delivering many exceptional first party titles. As Sony looks to continue this success with the PS5, one fan has gone out of their way to honor three of the best exclusives on PlayStation.

The games in question are Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Ghost of Tsushima, and Horizon Forbidden West. Each game was crafted by a different developer, with Naughty Dog, Sucker Punch, and Guerrilla Games each delivering one of the titles the artist focused on. These games are very different from one another, as players control a thief, a samurai, and an archer determined to save the world. With hugely different protagonists and settings offered in each game, the artist known as @SnowfirePlays was able to showcase some very unique designs.

First up is Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, a game that was recently remastered for the PlayStation 5 through the Legacy of Thieves Collection. With the first alternate cover, @SnowfirePlays really leaned into the pirate theme of the fourth game, as a silhouette for Nathan Drake can be seen within a giant skull. The second piece focuses more on Uncharted’s protagonist, with Nathan Drake’s head surrounded by a ring that reads “Sic Parvis Magna.” With Uncharted 4 focusing even more on Nathan Drake than other games, as it brings an end to his story, this cover is a great fit.

Next up is Ghost of Tsushima, Sucker Punch’s big hit from the end of the PS4 generation. While a Ghost of Tsushima sequel is all but confirmed to be in the works, these alternate covers do a terrific job of honoring the original game. The first sees Jin Sakai standing in front of a Japanese flag, with the game’s title placed on the side of the cover. The other piece sees a large profile shot of Jin in front of a sunset, with a smaller Samurai placed below him.

The most recent game @SnowfirePlays paid homage to is Horizon Forbidden West, and the artist’s work with this game resulted in what are arguably the best alternate covers. The first image sees Aloy staring down a Slaughterspine, with the pink waves helping to make the artwork more eye catching. The yellow background of the second piece as well as the futuristic text result in a cover resembling Cyberpunk 2077, though the unique armor set Aloy is wearing does a stellar job of representing Horizon’s distinct setting. With both covers being so colorful, they would be good alternatives to the game's official artwork.

With gamers only being a few years into the PS5 generation, plenty more PlayStation exclusives will be released. Considering that games like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine are on the way, artists will have plenty of opportunities to make some more alternate covers.
