In just two weeks' time, the PS5 will be commercially available for consumers worldwide, making it hard to believe that the design of the console was officially revealed over four months ago. While an assortment of outlets and Internet personalities have received the PS5, Sony has provided a means of giving consumers an idea of what the console and its related products will look like in person.

In the weeks leading up to the console's launch, Sony has taken several measures to promote the release of its next-gen system in any and every way possible. This includes crossover brand deals with Burger King, Doritos, KFC, as well as launching new commercials and sending the console out to internet personalities. Though, no matter how much advertising is involved, there is one hurdle that Sony still has to face in terms of the PS5's release.

Despite the superfast pre-order sales of the PS5, advertising and seeing others enjoy the console cannot compare to using the console itself. Although, Sony is aware of this fact and has found a way to remedy it until the console is properly released. This comes in the form of up close and detailed screenshots of the PS5 and a few of its peripherals.

In addition to the screenshots provided in the tweet, Sony also featured a cacophony of other screenshots available over on PlayStation Blog. The sleek, contrasting designs of the console itself, as well as its various other pieces of hardware, look incredible in each of these shots and likely appear even better in person.

After months of creating memes of the PS5 and poking fun at its design, it seems as though some users have started to come around in terms of the console's appearance. Maybe it's just due to how well the console and its hardware peripherals are framed through these screenshots, but sufficed to say, it is certainly a unique and memorable design if anything else.

In any case, it will be interesting to see how well the console succeeds when it's finally released. With a list of pre-orders that is miles long, an impressive set of PS5 launch titles, and a sleek and memorable aesthetic, hopefully, the consoleis everything that the fans want it to be and more. Only time will tell if the PS5 will live up to the expectations fans have put in place for it.

The PS5 is set to launch on November 12th, 2020.
