This company has developed its fair share of games independently as well as co-developing many titles that players are sure to have enjoyed at some point, especially with Nintendo. So many of these titles also have great replayability value, allowing players to enjoy these games more than once while they wait for the next PlatinumGames title to release.

10 The Legend Of Korra

Fans of The Legend of Korra TV series and its characters are sure to want to try this third-person beat 'em-up title that puts players in the shoes of the legendary incarnate avatar Korra. Players will only take a couple of hours to complete the game as Korra defeats the first two villains from the first two seasons of the show.

After completing the game, the fun isn't over. Players will be able to experience a new game plus kind of mode as well as have other activities available to them such as pro-bending matches in arena combat.

9 Star Fox Zero

Great Fox from Star Fox Zero

As the sixth installment of the Star Fox series, this 3D rail shooter is sure to strike up some nostalgia in its players. The game itself received mixed reviews from players that had first tried the title on the Wii U. However, those looking for a simple game that allows them to sink hours into destroying enemy spacecraft are sure to enjoy it.

The story itself may not be the reason players go back to Star Fox Zero but getting to play as Fox McCloud accompanied by his most loved allies makes for a gaming experience many wish to play again.

8 MadWorld

Being one of the first games to be released by PlatinumGames, this hack and slash title is a fair pick to look back on and play again, especially for those that are looking for a challenge. Players will complete a set of levels during their first playthrough of MadWorld, which represent different parts of an island that have been transformed for a game show called DeathWatch.

The replayability of this game comes from players being able to revisit these levels to attempt to get more points or take on the harder challenges that have now been set.

7 Sol Cresta

This was the first time in the series that Sol Cresta was not developed by Nichibutsu but instead developed by PlatinumGames to make a confident successor to the vertical scrolling shooter. Like any arcade game, every kill a player gets or hoop they fly through rewards them with extra points.

Therefore, gamers would find themselves playing the levels again to hopefully beat their high score. If this wasn't enough of a challenge for players, then they can also experience the five different difficulty levels that can be accessed in Arcade mode.

6 Vanquish

The player shooting at enemies with a turret in Vanquish

Players that are looking to return to an original title should look no further than Vanquish. This third-person shooter may have been criticized for its short campaign, but this may be appealing for those looking for a game they can easily replay that won't take them another week to complete.

Shortness aside, Vanquish was praised for its new additions to the genre, especially because of its fast-paced combat, which matched the 2D bullet hell shooters of the past while putting it into a 3D form.

5 The Wonderful 101: Remastered

Although when the game first came out in 2013, and it got plenty of positive reviews, the action-adventure failed to meet sales expectations. However, in 2020 with the help of crowdfunding, the game was able to receive a remaster allowing players to replay this exciting adventure on newer platforms.

During The Wonderful 101 players are expected to save citizens across the levels to increase their group of heroes and once hitting the end of the level they are told their grade. This means players may wish to replay the level to find all the citizens or complete it in a faster time while taking less damage for a better grade.

4 Astral Chain

Another great action-adventure developed by PlatinumGames is Astral Chain, which was released solely on the Nintendo Switch. This game has an incredibly interesting story that takes place in a dystopian future on Earth where a special task force must protect whatever is left of humanity.

Similar to other PlatinumGames titles, players that wish to face the hardest difficulty in the game won't unlock it until they have beaten the level once already. This means players that want a challenge will need to replay the game once more.

3 Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance

Raiden with bloody sword.

Co-developed with Konami Studios, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance combines the story of Metal Gear with the fast-paced and intense action that PlatinumGames is famous for. Performing combos and parrying attacks make for some appealing combat as players take on the role of Raiden, a cyborg facing the military company Desperado Enforcement.

Once again the game was criticized for its short campaign, however, the story that was there did make up for this. It also made it easily replayable to get better combos and experience the boss fights all over again.

2 Bayonetta

It wouldn't be a list about PlatinumGames if Bayonetta wasn't mentioned. This cult classic action-adventure that follows a witch by the same name has entertained players for years and hopes to continue this in the future with another release.

In this game where players receive points for getting amazing combos, players will be replaying the title in the hope of achieving an even better high score. Players may also wish to attempt the higher difficulties until they can succeed at the hardest difficulty Non-Stop Infinite Climax.

1 Nier: Automata

Nier: Automata is not only a great action role-playing game for its incredible story but also for how it successfully dips into other genres to entertain players. Some elements convert the title into a hack and slash and other genres that work well with Nier.

With twenty-six endings available for players to achieve, and some of which require a lot of work, players will need to replay the whole game again if they hope to experience them all. Not to mention if they also wish to find all the other hidden secrets within the levels.
