In the final phase, Vitalis will use both his pillar attacks and underground attacks from previous phases. Players will have to be observant to see which attack the boss is utilizing and react accordingly. Afterward, fires must be put out again and then Hugo can be commanded to attack. If Hugo's rats connect, the player will just have to land one final hit to claim victory in one of the best horror game boss fights.
Defeating Vitalis and clearing Chapter 16 means that players will have earned just about every story-related trophy/achievement in A Plague Tale: Innocence.
