While Beat Saber may get most of the attention when it comes to rhythm VR games, there are many other rhythm games that have found great success in the virtual reality space. One such game is Pistol Whip, a rhythm shooter that has made quite the impression on PC virtual reality headsets and is finally coming to PlayStation VR later this year.

It's been confirmed that Pistol Whip will be coming to PlayStation VR this summer. A specific release date wasn't nailed down, but that means that the game should be out within the next few months or so. Whenever Pistol Whip does launch on PlayStation VR, fans can expect the developers to support it long-term with new content updates throughout the rest of 2020, which will include new music, customization options, and more.

Pistol Whip was one of the best VR games of 2019, and so PlayStation VR enthusiasts are no doubt excited to see what all the fuss is about. And with PlayStation VR being one of the most widely-adopted virtual reality gaming headsets in the world, this port should introduce many more gamers to Pistol Whip that simply haven't had the chance to play the game yet. Whether or not it becomes as big of a phenomenon as Beat Saber remains to be seen, but it stands a much better shot now that it's coming to PlayStation VR.

In the meantime, there are many other big PlayStation VR games coming out this year, including the recently delayed Iron Man VR, so fans have plenty to look forward to in the coming months.

Pistol Whip is out now for PC virtual reality headsets and will come to PlayStation VR on PS4 this summer.
