Pikmin Bloom may not be the Pikmin 4 game that fans have been waiting for for a very long time, but it's still a neat mobile title from Niantic that draws inspiration from Pokemon GO. However, instead of focusing on capturing Pokemon and battling powerful monsters via Raids, Pikmin Bloom has a more nature and eco-friendly vibe to it, with players growing their army of Pikmin and flooding the streets with flowers.

Once Pikmin Bloom players make their way to level 6, they have two tasks they need to complete before getting to level 7.

  • Complete 1 Expedition
  • Walk a total of 7500 Steps

Walking the required number of steps is straightforward, but some players might wonder how to complete an expedition and how it all works in Pikmin Bloom.

How Expeditions Work in Pikmin Bloom

Players can send their Pikmin on expeditions to pick up any items that players discovered on one of their walks. To start an expedition in Pikmin Bloom, players need to press on the map at the top of the screen to open up a separate menu with a few different tags. Players will first see the Lifelog, and then Pikmin next to it, followed by Seedlings, and then finally, Expeditions.

This screen will show players the nearby items that they can send Pikmin to collect. Press on the item and it will show its location on the map. Players should make sure that the item isn't too far, or else it will take quite some time before the Pikmin come back from their journey to grab it. Be sure to collect the closer items first.

Pikmin Bloom will then make players choose how many Pikmin they would like to send out. Players can choose up to double the number of required Pikmin, and the more that carry the item, the faster it'll come back to the player's home.

The time shown during an expedition is how long players need to wait until the item comes back. Players don't have to wait on this screen, however, as the Pikmin's journey will continue even if the app closes. Once the Pikmin returns, players can go back to the Expedition screen and tap on the item to claim it.

Pikmin Bloom is now available worldwide on Android and iOS devices.
