During the Nintendo Treehouse live event that occurred earlier today, Nintendo revealed a lot of additional details regarding the release of Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Perhaps one of the most exciting of which was the existence of a demo for Pikmin 3 Deluxe that is set to release later tonight. Though, during the event, Nintendo spokespeople mentioned that the demo will feature additional content that will get transferred over to the main game, should the user want to purchase it.

Pikmin 3 was originally released on the Wii U as an exclusive, yet shortly after the reveal of the Nintendo Switch port of the game, Pikmin 3 was taken off the Wii U e-shop, only to then be added back on. It was a rather confusing move on Nintendo's part, but for many Wii U owners, it's nice to know that the game is still available for digital purchase.

In any case, it was announced during the Nintendo Treehouse October event that Pikmin 3 Deluxe would feature a playable demo of the game that will release later today. The demo features save data transfer with the full game that will unlock various perks and give players access to Ultra Spicy difficulty.

What exactly these aforementioned perks will be have not been extrapolated upon. However, save data transfer implies that any progress made in the demo will transfer over to the main game. Thus, it's safe to assume that any in-game items or utilities collected in the demo can be used in the full version of Pikmin 3 Deluxe. Given how much in-game content there was in the original Pikmin 3, many fans are wondering if the content featured in the demo will impact the actual game.

It will also be interesting to see how Nintendo tackles controller options in terms of the Switch version of the game. Considering how much varying selection the Wii U had in terms of controllers, quite a number of people are curious as to how the Switch's catalogue of controllers will affect the gameplay of Pikmin 3 Deluxe.

It's nice to know that a Pikmin will be available to play on the Nintendo Switch. Pikmin is a rather old franchise, thus many younger Nintendo fans likely only know about Pikmin through games like Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. This port will ultimately give new players the opportunity to experience Pikmin for the very first time. Members of the gaming community only have to wait a few weeks before Pikmin 3 Deluxe is officially released.

Pikmin 3 Deluxe is set to release on October 30th, 2020.
