Phasmphobia managed to become one of Steam's biggest games last year despite only entering early access in October, cultivating a wide fanbase and become one of YouTube's most-played experiences. Since then, it has had a myriad of updates, including new ghosts, a fresh location, and tons of bug fixes.

Announced via Twitter earlier today, Phasmophobia's newest update is out now, with Kinetic Games adding a ton of quality of life updates for players. Included in these are a fix for ghost photos sometimes not registering, dead players occasionally being able to use the ouija board, and one for the CCTV monitor breaking if a player with headcam disconnects.

Other changes include lowering the rain sound on the Tanglewood map, decreasing the night vision brightness on house maps so players can more easily see ghost orbs, and ensured banshees will no longer hunt their non-target player through sound. Overall, it seems like a lot of important changes for frequent players, with Kinetic Games focusing on refining the experience and offering a more bug-free experience.

As for Phasmophobia itself, the game is still adding big new features for players. Recently, the dev added a large prison map filled with dark passages and rooms for ghosts to hunt in. Meanwhile, earlier this month, Kinetic Games made it so ghosts can track players based on where they're talking. With Phasmophobia becoming such a rampant success, there are sure to be even more new features on the way very soon.

Phasmophobia is out now on PC.
