Players looking for more ghost hunting location in Phasmophobia better get their EMF readers as a new prison level is officially available for all players.

Originally only available for players on beta servers, the prison level offers a creepy aesthetic with dozens of prison cells, multiple floors, and an incredibly high chance of getting lost.

The prison level offers a fairly unique take on ghost hunting in Phasmophobia with the prison cells at its location. Typically players can hide in enclosed rooms when a ghost is hunting and be alone but players will be able to see each other while hiding in a cell due to the spaced out bars dividing the rooms. Ghosts will still be as aggressive as ever so be prepared to get in and out as quick as possible while trying to set up a camera looking for ghost orbs.

The new update also comes with a bunch of bug fixes for the game fixing object collision, removing the ability for players to glitch into safe spots, and reducing the lag in the game overall. Last month, developer Kinetic Games updated the game to give dead players more things to do in Phasmophobia including the ability to grab objects in the game and throw them around the environment.

The success of Phasmophobia has caught Kinetic Games by surprise with the game being a huge hit on Twitch. Due to the popularity of the game Kinetic has changed plans for the game's support with the developer intending to have more major updates added to the game in 2021, though details on what they entail have not been announced.

Phasmophobia is available now on PC.
