The indie game has up to four players take on the role of ghost hunters. The setting can range from prison, school, hospital, or house and there are 12 different kinds of ghosts that behave differently.
The game did not just get popular for its high quality. The news of Phasmophobia spread fast through famous game streamers such as PewDiePie, Markiplier, and Jacksepticeye. Many people are also stuck in their homes under quarantine, so co-op games are a welcome way to be with friends.

Unlike Phasmophobia, this game is very attached to a single location and singular ghost. However, that is to the game's advantage because those two elements are terrifying.
