PewDiePie is the most-subscribed channel on all of YouTube, but the Indian media company T-Series has nearly overtaken him in subscriber count several times. This battle between PewDiePie and T-Series has become somewhat of a cultural phenomenon, referenced by politicians, entertainers, and even inspiring people to hack printers with a "subscribe to PewDiePie" message, buy billboards in Times Square, and more.

Hacking printers to tell people to subscribe to PewDiePie was an incident that was met with criticism, as some felt it was going too far to promote the YouTuber. However, now it appears some fans of PewDiePie have sunk to new lows to promote the farcical feud between him and T-Series, writing "subscribe to PewDiePie" on a World War 2 memorial at Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn, New York.

The messages were spotted by Reddit user Gato1980, who posted an image of the defacing online. It's unclear who wrote the subscribe to PewDiePie graffiti on the World War 2 memorial, and it's unlikely that they will ever be identified given the anonymous nature of the crime. At the time of this writing, PewDiePie has yet to publicly comment on the incident.

It should be noted that PewDiePie has not encouraged his fans to deface any World War 2 memorials to help him beat T-Series. In fact, there have been multiple instances where he has asked his audience to reign it in a bit, telling them not to do anything "illegal." He has also spoken out against racist comments aimed at Indians that have been posted on YouTube as a result of this feud, going as far as to host charity streams to raise money for Indian children.

PewDiePie's efforts to stay ahead of T-Series in subscriber count has seen him livestream a variety of popular games. He has hosted streams of MinecraftFortnitePUBG Mobile, and even the children's game Roblox. However, not all of these streams were without controversy.

The Roblox stream actually saw PewDiePie banned from the game, as "PewDiePie" itself is against the game's Terms of Service due to past actions and comments by the popular YouTuber. Whether or not PewDiePie himself is hit with similar backlash from this latest incident, even though he wasn't directly involved, remains to be seen.
