Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, like From Software's previous games, is notoriously difficult. In fact, From Software considers it harder than Dark Souls and Bloodborne, so even veterans of those games will likely have a hard time with Sekiro. Sekiro's challenge has attracted the attention of PewDiePie, who rarely makes gaming videos anymore, but has decided to do so with an attempt at playing through the game without dying.

It doesn't take long for PewDiePie to lose the challenge, but he keeps playing Sekiro anyway, and continues to rack up deaths. At this point, the challenge becomes facetious, as PewDiePie insists that he has still died zero times despite dying repeatedly throughout the video. In total, he records over 40 minutes of Sekiro gameplay before giving up shortly after the Chained Ogre boss fight.

Throughout the video, PewDiePie does some things playing Sekiro that may frustrate fans of the game. He skips many of the tutorials, and fails to do things like collect money from his dead enemies. He also rarely deflects, instead opting to hang back and hit enemies with a charge attack. While this strategy works for PewDiePie for the most part, it certainly isn't the most effective way to play Sekiro and defeat the enemies in the game.

PewDiePie playing Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is more significant than it may seem to some, as the YouTuber rarely uploads video game footage. Nowadays, his channel is dedicated to series like Meme Review, You Laugh You Lose, and Pew News, where he reacts to various controversies. However, PewDiePie initially rose to prominence by uploading gaming footage to his YouTube channel, and so it almost feels like an event when he actually returns to what made him famous.

While PewDiePie is unable to beat Sekiro with zero deaths, it's certainly not an impossible feat. In fact, Twitch streamer Faraaz Khan has already beaten Sekiro with no deaths. That's an incredible feat in and of itself, but the future may bring even more ridiculous Sekiro runs. After all, Happy Hob beat all the Soulsborne games without even getting hit once, and it will be interesting to see if he is able to replicate the feat in Sekiro.
