After beating the Ghost of Tsushima during a livestream, popular YouTuber PewDiePie shared his thoughts on the game and compared it to The Last of Us 2. He called The Last of Us 2 “dreary” and claims that the newer PS4 title is better.

The PlayStation 4 welcomed Ghost of Tsushima on July 17, and gained huge appreciation from players and critics. PewDiePie, being one of them, described the game as beautiful. He mentioned in his livestream on August 2 that the astounding artistic visuals and intriguing graphics made him want to be a part of that world.

When asked by one of his viewers, PewDiePie said that he would recommend it over The Last of Us 2, as Ghost of Tsushima was a game that players could have so much more fun with. Ghost of Tsushima quickly won his and many others' hearts even though he stated that there were some things that could have been better. He rated it a high 8.9/10 and plans to continue playing it off-stream to finish it completely. He mentioned he hasn't enjoyed playing a game this much especially since The Last of Us 2 was, to him, "annoying" and it made him feel both angry and sad thinking about it.

PewDiePie isn’t alone when it comes to having mixed feelings for the arguably most-talked-about sequel this year. Just recently, it was rumored that those who dislike The Last of Us 2 were review boosting Ghost of Tsushima so it would get perfect scores on Metacritic. However, based on the feedback from PewDiePie and other players online, Ghost of Tsushima doesn’t seem to need any review boosting because of how justifiably admired it is on its own.

Unfortunately The Last of Us 2's narrative let many of its fans feeling left down. When PewDiePie streamed the second part of The Last of Us 2 in June, he shared the same view as the detractors, calling it a mess thus rating it a 6/10 disliking the story’s structure. Although, the Swedish YouTuber has restated that he did enjoy playing parts of The Last of Us 2, but he loved Ghost of Tsushima so much more that he is already anticipating its sequel.

Ghost of Tsushima is available now exclusively on the PS4.
