Love him or hate him, there's no denying that PewDiePie is one of the most influential and popular YouTubers ever. His channel stands as the most-subscribed in all of YouTube, and while T-Series is breathing down his neck, it appears as though PewDiePie has enough support to keep the top spot for some time to come. However, PewDiePie has his fair share of detractors, some of whom have signed a petition to ban him from playing Apex Legends.

The Change.org petition to ban PewDiePie from Apex Legends was created a little over a month ago by someone named Gabe V. So far, the petition only has a couple hundred signatures, and even if it amassed thousands upon thousands, it is highly unlikely that Respawn would actually ban PewDiePie from playing Apex Legends. Change.org petitions rarely amount to anything, especially ones like this.

Not to mention PewDiePie hasn't really given any indication that he is going to upload Apex Legends content to his channel. In fact, PewDiePie's channel has had less gaming content on it over the years, as the draw for fans is no longer video games, but rather, PewDiePie himself. Nowadays, PewDiePie seems to reserve his gaming content for last-ditch efforts to keep himself ahead of T-Series.

For example, PewDiePie has livestreamed MinecraftFortniteRoblox, and more to boost his subscriber count and beat T-Series. Considering this, it's certainly possible PewDiePie will livestream himself playing Apex Legends at some point, as it's currently one of the most popular games in the world, and even on pace to become bigger than Fortnite.

While a petition to ban PewDiePie from Apex Legends is unlikely to be taken seriously, it's worth noting that PewDiePie has actually been banned from one of the games he's livestreamed in his ongoing feud with T-Series. PewDiePie was banned from Roblox after it was made apparent that anything associated with the controversial YouTuber isn't allowed in the kid-friendly game. This is apparently due to some of his recent controversies, including an incident where he promoted a YouTube channel that he didn't know had racist content.

But unless PewDiePie hacks in Apex Legends or cheats in any other way, Respawn is unlikely to ban him from playing the popular battle royale game.

Apex Legends is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
