Atlus has just revealed Persona Q2, and judging by the logo chosen to accompany the reveal, the gang from Persona 5 will be a part of the cast.

The announcement came through a new website reserved for the game. At the moment, it simply shows and animated Phantom Thieves logo, with the words Persona Q2 underneath. There isn't any other media available on the site, such as screenshots -- or even a trailer. Clicking the logo will simply redirect to the Persona PR Twitter.

Persona Q is a sequel to Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth, which released back in 2014 on the Nintendo 3DS. According to the website, Persona Q2 will also be available on the handheld system.

The previous game was a spin-off that takes place in a isolated dimensional pocket where the casts of Persona 3 and Persona 4 are drawn together. The game plays like a first-person dungeon crawler, where players explore labyrinths and battle Shadows. It hasn't been disclosed yet whether or not Persona Q2 will follow the same formula as its predecessor, or what other Persona characters will be joining the Phantom Thieves. But it's a safe bet that the cast of Persona 4 will make an appearance.

As for Persona 5 itself, the game will be getting another anime adaption in 2018. Instead of a 30-minute short like Daybreakers, it will receive a fully-realized television series. It is currently in production by Atlus and A-1 Pictures (Fairy Tail, Sword Art Online). The series will bring back the original voice cast of the Phantom Thieves and is expected to air in Japan some time next year.

It's no surprise Atlus is keeping Persona 5 going through spin-offs and other media. Like previous Persona games, it was a smash hit in Japan, and has gained plenty of fans worldwide. Readers of the popular Japanese publication Famitsu even voted Persona 5 the best RPG of all time, knocking legends like Final Fantasy 7 and Chrono Trigger from the top spot.

Persona Q2 is currently in development for the Nintendo 3DS.
