Persona 5 Strikers packs a little more action than its predecessor, Persona 5, by combining real-time battle with turn-based combat. Like most games, Persona 5 Strikers has weapons and armor that the characters can buy to increase their attack and defense. While having strong weapons and a powerful Persona can take care of mobs of enemies, it's important not to neglect the importance of armor.

Hack-and-slash games like Persona 5 Strikers mean cutting down hordes and hordes of enemies. Weaker Shadows won't pose a threat, but fighting bosses will be difficult if the Phantom Thieves aren't wearing the right gear. It's especially important for Persona 5's magic users (like Panther) to have strong armor so that they're not taken down after a few hits. Unlike the weapons in Strikers, armor isn't character-exclusive.

The Best Armor in Persona 5 Strikers

Armor in the Persona series is divided into three categories: Men, Women, and Mascot Character. For example, characters like Joker can wear the same armor as Fox because they're both males, but they otherwise can't wear armor tailored for Panther or Noir. Despite believing that he is, Morgana isn't a human, so he doesn't share the same armor category as Joker, Skull, Fox, and Wolf. Instead, he gets his own set of armor to choose from.

This means there are only three sets of the best armor in Strikers. All of them become available in Sophia's Shop after completing the Junk Collection, Part 9 Request.

Getting the Best Armor

Kuon Ichinose's Junk Collection, Part 9 Request unlocks on 8/30 and is located in the Tree of Life and Wisdom. The goal here is to "Deliver 15 pieces of Unnatural Samples." As a reward, the Phantom Thieves will receive 120000 yen and have more armor available at Sophia's Shop.

Junk is indicated by the floating cubes scattered around Jails and the Tree of Life and Wisdom. The Junk obtained from the cubes is randomized, so players may need to leave and go back in until they have all 15 pieces of Unnatural Samples. Another way to gather junk is by defeating the mini-bosses that occasionally pop up when initiating combat. Mini-bosses are larger Shadows and will have a health bar that appears at the top-middle of the screen.

Once the Request is complete, turn it in, and then go to the Weapons category of Sophia's Shop. The reward money from the Request should be enough to get started on buying a few pieces of armor.

Persona 5 Strikers is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS4.
